Tech Tips and News

This blog contains my thoughts about computer technology and the computing industry as a whole. I will cover anything that catches my interest, a wide range of topics. Over time I will write about cell phones, computers, peripherals, IS security, and using the cloud. Stay tuned as I plan to start posting regularly.

Tech Tips and Thoughts by Ken

Hi my name is Ken Maki. I have been working with small business and their computers since the late 80s. I love helping people get the most from their technology. I established Syntegratek, Inc. in 2007 after working for a few years in the IS department a major pharmaceutical company. I have written five books about Macintosh and PC computing and hold a Masters degree in Information Systems at the University of San Francisco.

I like to look at my client relationships as a partnership. It is my job to ensure you can do your job or at least to make sure the tools you are using are adequate for the job you're doing. This means different things to different people. Some clients only want to see me when they have a crisis. Others solicit a more proactive solution. I do sell services you don't want or need. Nor do I expect to become your trusted advisor after our first meeting. However, over time I would hope that we can develop a mutually beneficial relationship where I can help you make your business more profitable.

Feel free to contact me at (415) 935-9961 or send an email to ken.maki@syntegratek.com.
